From small studio to modern commercial building

1974: Saint Mary Aalter Street in Aalter.
Paula and Jean are building a commercial building in the center of Aalter. The family lives in this building.

After a few years the company expanded.

1994: Production gradually moves abroad.
To offer competitive prices, our production unfortunately had to move abroad. But how do you get started?

We had absolutely no connections abroad. The internet didn't exist back then. So I took the Yellow Pages and my phone and started making appointments with small studios in Romania. - Jean

Jean and Paula take the car and drive to Romania, without GPS, without cell phone, ...
The most important point for them is to find a reliable partner who can deliver a good product on time.
After a long search, they stumbled upon a small studio with which they found a match. This marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration.

A workshop abroad naturally requires follow-up and coordination. Paula regularly travels to Romania with one of her colleagues to visit the production site.

1995: Move to the industrial park, Leon Bekaertlaan 22 in Aalter.
From a small home studio, they're moving to an industrial building. Suddenly everything feels so professional!

2015: Move to the current business premises

The land was purchased back in 2008. At that time, a tennis hall was still standing on it. Construction began in 2013. The foundations were laid in October 2014, and in June 2015, 10 months later, we were able to welcome customers to the brand-new showroom. The building has three floors.

2016: Festive inauguration of the new company building.
