What can you expect from a role as Head of HR at Marie Méro?

As Head of HR, you'll shape our HR department: you'll initiate, implement, and coordinate, and work hands-on on daily HR activities. You'll be a trusted sparring partner for the management team, the retail team, and the head office staff.

You start with an annual HR plan, based on the vision of the managers and the needs of employees and the company, and translate this into concrete actions that contribute to growth and optimal teamwork.
You take the lead in recruitment and selection: drafting job descriptions, job profiles, and competencies, posting vacancies, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews, with the aim of creating a professional candidate journey from start to finish.
You guide employees from start to finish, together with department heads, and are an accessible point of contact for questions and ideas.
You develop growth paths and L&D programs that strengthen team leads and employees, and coordinate initiatives that improve retention and keep teams engaged and motivated.
You will work closely with the Head of Retail and the District Manager to ensure HR policies and initiatives are optimally aligned with store reality.
You initiate wage optimizations and monitor the broader wage policy. You'll work closely with the Payroll Officer, who is responsible for all payroll processing and HR administration from start to finish and reports to you. During weekly meetings, you'll discuss progress, areas of concern, and ongoing files, and make adjustments where necessary.
You analyze HR data, such as monthly salary results and the half-yearly Bradford factor, targets & bonuses (CAO90), and translate trends into improvement points for HR initiatives.
You ensure clear, warm, and consistent communication on HR topics and translate policies and processes into understandable guidelines for employees and team leaders.

Who are you?

We're looking for an energetic and experienced HR professional who can both think strategically and execute hands-on. You maintain an overview, coordinate processes, and simultaneously maintain close contact with employees and team leaders. You're proactive and a true sparring partner for the management team.

You recognize yourself in the following:
- Strategic and analytical: you see the bigger picture and translate them into concrete HR actions and initiatives.
- Proactive and hands-on: you don't wait, but convert ideas into actions and actively support the implementation.
- Strong communication skills: you can translate policy into clear guidelines, are approachable, and a good listener for employees and team leaders.
- Experience in HR: you have a broad HR background, preferably including recruitment & selection, HR policy, payroll and analysis.
Retail experience is a plus: knowledge of store and team dynamics will help you better align HR with practice.
- Empathetic and connecting: you understand people, build trust and know how to motivate and strengthen teams.
In short: you are a driven HR professional who combines strategy and execution, supports employees and team leads, and takes our HR department to the next level.

What does Marie Méro have to offer you?

You will be part of a close-knit team within a renowned Belgian fashion brand with growth ambitions: the Marie Méro Family.
You will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in further developing our HR department and influencing the well-being, growth, and development of our employees.
- You work in an environment where initiative, creativity and proactive action are valued.
You will be given the opportunity to implement, coordinate and adjust HR policies and processes, both strategically and operationally.
- Fun team building activities, after-work drinks.
- A full-time, permanent contract for 39 hours per week, including 9 ADV days.
- An attractive salary package supplemented with fringe benefits.
