What can you expect from a job as a Senior Accountant at Marie Méro?
- You are responsible for the correct monthly and annual closings.
- You are responsible for correct intercompany invoicing and you process monthly sales.
- You ensure that all tax obligations are met, such as VAT returns, OSS returns, Intrastat returns, etc.
- You reconcile customer and supplier accounts and ensure correct processing of payments and receipts.
- In collaboration with the AP/AR Accountant, you monitor outstanding payments, identify overdue invoices, and take appropriate measures to minimize payment arrears.
- You manage all business VISA transactions, verify expenses and ensure correct processing in the accounts.
- You analyze existing financial processes and proactively make proposals for improvement and automation.
- You implement more efficient working methods and contribute to the establishment of internal controls to ensure the financial health of the company.
- You monitor the latest developments in the financial sector and translate these into practical improvements for the organization.
Who are we looking for?
- Do you already have several years of experience as a Senior Accountant in an international environment (BE – NL – UK), but do you find working in a family-run SME more energizing?
- Are you looking for a challenging role where you can work independently?
- Are you not keen on analyzing current processes and proposing ideas for optimization?
- Can you work smoothly with MS Excel?
- Do you have a very good knowledge of Dutch and a good knowledge of French and English?
- Experience with an ERP package is a must, knowledge of BoCount is a plus.
