Celebrate the Week of Belgian Fashion with Marie Méro
Belgian Fashion Week, from 12 to 19 October, is an annual initiative of Fashion Union and Creamoda, celebrating Belgian fashion. The event, now entering its sixth edition, has emerged as a success story with more than 100 Belgian brands and 1,000 participating shops. It is a week in which local fashion shops and brands showcase their Belgian pride to the world.
This year, the ‘Limburg Six’, six fashion entrepreneurs, take centre stage as the event's ambassadors. These friends not only share their passion for fashion, but also their commitment to sustainability and innovation within the sector. They combine their unique visions to strengthen the message of Belgian fashion and cooperation.
Marie Méro: Proudly Belgian
As a contemporary Belgian fashion brand, Marie Méro is delighted to participate in Belgian Fashion Week. Marie Méro dresses women of all generations and makes them radiant, whatever the occasion. From size 36 to 48, the brand offers contemporary and quality designs produced in Europe, with an eye for detail and sustainability.
This year, we are extra proud to collaborate with our ambassador Cynthia Reekmans. A well-known Hasselt native and style icon, Cynthia perfectly embodies Marie Méro's values and inspires women to show their most beautiful selves during this special week.
What makes Marie Méro unique is that the entire creation process takes place in Belgium. Fabrics are tested, prototypes are developed and collections are put together in our own atelier. Every step in the process, from design to delivery, is done with the utmost care.
With a history dating back to 1971, Marie Méro, the in-house label of nv J. Van der Elst, is firmly rooted in the Belgian fashion industry. Under the leadership of the second generation, Steven and Ruben Van der Elst, a team of 50 colleagues work to realise their mission: to make every woman shine with the perfect outfit for every moment of the day.
